Closet Lost and Found: #1

This outfit is part of a series of posts I’m calling ‘Closet Lost and Found’.  I’m talking about those poor, lonely items of clothing lost to the depths of closets everywhere, often relegated to obscurity because it’s way too much of a puzzle to work out what to put them with.

I’ve had this top since I was in my teens and I’ve always loved it.  I kept it because of its vibrant color and fancy pants mandarin collar. As part of my commitment to this series, I decided to pair it with ripped jeans and vintage colored Nike kicks.

Why not find something in your closet that you’ve neglected and see if you can give it new life?  You’ll get a whole new outfit without spending a dime.

Florals & Leopards & Bags Oh My! (Part I)

I’m utterly nuts about floral patterns and I’m practically bonkers about mixing florals.  Oh the colors, the patterns, the textures!  For that reason, this outfit brings me endless joy.  And for added fun I threw in a leopard.

The skirt and jacket are from Coach’s Spring/Summer 1941 ready-to-wear collection which I’m in love with.  If I could buy every piece, I would.  It’s all about bold, bright florals with a touch of biker and a hint of Americana. I can really never get enough of pattern mixing and color in my outfits so this look really does it for me.  Layering florals and wearing bright colors may not be for the faint of heart but it’ll certainly brighten up your day!
